Java Support Engineer (Distributed Cache )

Job DescriptionWe are seeking a technically strong Distributed Cache & Java Support Engineer to support distributed caching solutions and onboard Java and Spring Boot application use cases to the distributed-cache platform.The candidate will combine hands-on Java development with practical enterprise distributed cache or in-memory data grid experience.The role focuses on cache use-case assessment and onboarding, Java integration support, distributed-cache troubleshooting, and JVM diagnostics.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide production support for distributed cache clusters and related Java application integrationsMonitor cluster health, partition distribution, memory, latency, throughput, capacity, and performanceSupport cache configuration and troubleshooting across distributed maps, Near Cache, eviction and expiry/TTL, partitioning, backup and replication, serialization, and cluster discoveryDiagnose cache-related incidents including high latency, memory pressure, member restarts, split-brain conditions, data inconsistency, and degraded performanceCoordinate with application, infrastructure, and vendor support teams to investigate issues and drive technical resolutionReview and modify Java or Spring Boot code required to onboard application use cases to the distributed-cache platformWork with application teams to understand the use case, data model, access pattern, expected load, and caching objectivesImplement application-side cache integration changes and validate serialization, distributed maps, Near Cache, eviction/TTL, and client configurationTroubleshoot JVM and application issues encountered during onboarding, integration testing, and production stabilizationMinimum Qualification & ExperienceBachelor's degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or Information Technology7+ years of relevant experience in Java backend development, Java application support, distributed systems, or closely related engineering work3+ years of hands-on experience with distributed caching or in-memory data grid technologies in conjunction with Java applicationsMust HaveStrong hands-on Java development experience, including the ability to write and modify Java codeStrong JVM troubleshooting capability, including memory management, garbage collection, thread dumps, heap analysis, and performance diagnosisHands-on Spring Boot development or application-support experience, including cache integration or use-case onboardingHands-on experience with any distributed caching or in-memory data grid technology such as Redis, Hazelcast, Apache Ignite, Ehcache, Oracle Coherence, Infinispan, Memcached, or comparable platforms. Training will be provided on the selected platform.Strong understanding of distributed maps, Near Cache, eviction/expiry/TTL, partitioning, backup/replication, split-brain, serialization, and cluster discoveryGood to HaveProduction application support experience in banking, telecom, or other mission-critical environments, including incident triage, root cause analysis, and documentationBasic support-level exposure to Kubernetes, containers, Linux, networking, and optionally Anthos or OpenShift; deep platform expertise is not requiredFamiliarity with CI/CD processes and deployment-pipeline troubleshootingExperience with Splunk, AppDynamics, or Hazel cast Management Center, plus basic TLS/mTLS and certificate troubleshooting.
