The role combines deep technical expertise in Java, Spring Boot, and Microservices with strong team leadership, architecture guidance, code quality ownership, and delivery management.The ideal candidate will be a hands-on technical leader who can guide engineers through complex development challenges while ensuring robust, maintainable, and high-quality solutions.RequirementsKey ResponsibilitiesLead a squad of Java engineers through application design, development, testing, and deliveryDesign and develop scalable microservices and RESTful APIs using Java and Spring BootProvide technical guidance on application architecture, design patterns, coding practices, and engineering standardsConduct code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards, security practices, and architectural best practicesContribute to full-stack feature development using ReactJS where requiredDesign and optimize MongoDB and relational database structures, queries, and integrationsGuide the team on Kafka-based integrations, event-driven architectures, and messaging best practicesDrive effective CI/CD practices using Jenkins and support continuous delivery initiativesCollaborate with architects, product owners, QA engineers, and other technical teams to ensure successful deliveryTroubleshoot complex technical issues and provide effective solutions across application and integration layersMentor and develop junior and mid-level engineers through technical guidance, code reviews, and knowledge sharingSupport Agile planning, estimation, sprint execution, and continuous improvementTrack technical delivery progress and communicate effectively with stakeholders and onshore teamsPromote engineering quality, scalability, reliability, maintainability, and operational excellenceWhat Makes You a Great Fit12+ years of overall experience in software engineering, with strong hands-on experience in Java developmentAt least 3+ years of experience in a Tech Lead or similar technical leadership roleExpert-level proficiency in Java, Spring Boot, and MicroservicesStrong experience designing and developing RESTful APIs and enterprise applicationsAdvanced proficiency in ReactJS and experience contributing to full-stack solutionsStrong experience with MongoDB and relational databases, including database design and query optimizationWorking knowledge of Apache Kafka and event-driven integration patternsHands-on understanding of Jenkins and CI/CD pipelinesStrong understanding of Agile software development and delivery practicesProven experience leading, mentoring, and technically guiding engineering teamsStrong code review, debugging, problem-solving, and technical decision-making skillsExcellent stakeholder communication skills, including experience working with onshore and distributed teamsAbility to balance hands-on technical contribution with team leadership and delivery ownershipStrong understanding of software architecture, engineering best practices, scalability, and maintainabilityExperience in the Financial Services domain is an advantageA proactive leadership mindset with strong ownership, collaboration, and communication skills
