We are looking for a talented Jewellery Designer & CAD Specialist to work with us on an ongoing freelance or part-time basis. The ideal candidate combines strong creative jewellery design skills with professional CAD and 3D modelling capabilities. We are looking for someone with excellent jewellery taste, a strong understanding of proportion and detail, and the ability to turn concepts and creative briefs into polished, production-ready designs.ResponsibilitiesDevelop jewellery designs based on creative briefs, concepts and referencesCreate accurate 2D and 3D CAD models for jewellery productionDevelop and refine designs across different jewellery categoriesContribute creative ideas and suggest design improvements where appropriatePrepare production-ready CAD and STL filesProduce technical drawings, dimensions and specificationsCreate realistic jewellery renders when requiredProvide estimated gold weights based on CAD modelsSpecify stone sizes, quantities and setting details where applicableRevise and refine designs based on feedbackMaintain clear and organised design filesWhat We’re Looking ForApproximately 2–3+ years of jewellery design and/or jewellery CAD experienceA strong portfolio demonstrating both creative design ability and technical CAD skillsExcellent taste and a strong understanding of fine jewellery aestheticsStrong sense of proportion, balance, detail and wearabilityExperience across categories such as rings, earrings, bracelets, bangles, necklaces, pendants and chainsProficiency in professional jewellery CAD software such as MatrixGold, Rhino, JewelCAD or equivalentAbility to prepare files according to professional jewellery industry standardsGood understanding of gold and gemstone jewelleryStrong awareness of jewellery trends while understanding the difference between trend-led and timeless designsAbility to interpret a design direction and develop it into a well-resolved finished product that fits the brand’s aestheticAbility to contribute creatively rather than simply execute instructionsStrong attention to detail and good communication skillsManufacturing knowledge is beneficial, but design ability, creativity and jewellery taste are the priorities for this role.Portfolio RequirementsA portfolio is required and should ideally include:Original jewellery designsJewellery CAD work and 3D rendersTechnical jewellery design workFinished pieces produced from your designs, where availableExamples demonstrating your ability to develop and refine jewellery conceptsPlease submit work that you personally designed or substantially contributed to.Working ArrangementWe are looking to establish an ongoing freelance collaboration with the right designer rather than hire for a single project. The role is remote and open to candidates internationally. Projects will vary in scope and complexity, with compensation agreed on a per-design or per-project basis.
