We specialise in sourcing and curating high-quality gemstones for diverse customer needs, from everyday wear to fine jewellery.With a strong foundation in traditional gemstone craftsmanship and a modern approach to design and e-commerce, Navratan combines gemstone expertise with contemporary jewellery design to create distinctive collections.About the RoleWe are looking for a creative, experienced Jewellery Designer – Merchandise to develop innovative, commercially viable jewellery designs and collections inspired by our gemstone portfolio.The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of jewellery design, gemstones, CAD, merchandising, market trends and manufacturing feasibility.Key Responsibilities* Develop original jewellery designs and collections based on gemstones, market trends and customer preferences.* Create hand sketches, design concepts, mood boards and CAD designs.* Work closely with gemstone and product teams to understand gemstone cuts, colours, shapes and characteristics.* Research current trends in fine jewellery and gemstone jewellery and translate them into commercially relevant designs.* Ensure designs are practical, aesthetically appealing and production-ready.* Coordinate with manufacturing teams for sampling, prototypes and design refinement.* Contribute to merchandising, collection planning and product development.* Maintain an organised portfolio and documentation of designs.* Ensure designs align with Navratan’s brand aesthetic and quality standards.Requirements* 3+ years of relevant experience in jewellery design, merchandising or product development.* Strong knowledge of gemstones, jewellery design and manufacturing processes.* Proficiency in Rhino, Matrix or equivalent jewellery CAD software.* Strong sketching and design-development skills.* Good understanding of jewellery trends and commercial design.* Strong creative and aesthetic sense with attention to detail.* Ability to convert concepts into marketable and production-ready jewellery designs.* Prior experience in a jewellery design studio, brand or manufacturing setup is preferred but not mandatory.* Experience with gemstone jewellery/natural gemstones will be an added advantage.To ApplyInterested candidates can share their CV along with their jewellery design portfolio at Umanshi.navratan@gmail.com
