Role Description The Internal Medicine Doctor will provide evidence-based, patient-centered medical care for adult patients in the Western Region, Abu Dhabi. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Abu Dhabi. Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting comprehensive clinical assessments, diagnosing and managing acute and chronic medical conditions, and developing individualized treatment and follow-up plans. The role involves ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests, prescribing medications, and coordinating care with ambulance crews, nurses, specialists, and other healthcare professionals. The Internal Medicine Doctor will participate in medical emergencies, support pre-hospital and in-facility stabilization, document care accurately in medical records, and ensure compliance with local health regulations and organizational protocols. Additional responsibilities may include contributing to quality improvement initiatives, clinical audits, and staff education related to internal medicine and emergency care.Qualifications Medical degree (MBBS or equivalent) from a recognized institution, with completed residency or equivalent training in Internal Medicine.Valid license or eligibility for licensure as an Internal Medicine specialist or physician in Abu Dhabi / UAE (e.g., DOH/HAAD), or ability to obtain it within a defined timeframe.Demonstrated clinical expertise in adult internal medicine, including assessment, diagnosis, and management of acute and chronic conditions in both outpatient and urgent/emergency settings.Strong skills in interpreting diagnostic tests (laboratory, ECG, imaging reports) and integrating findings into treatment decisions.Experience working with multidisciplinary teams, including paramedics, nurses, and other allied health professionals, in high-acuity or pre-hospital environments is highly desirable.Excellent communication skills in English, with the ability to explain medical information clearly and respectfully to patients, families, and colleagues; additional languages (e.g., Arabic) are an advantage.Proven ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, 24/7 service environment, including flexibility to cover shifts, weekends, and on-call duties as needed.Commitment to patient safety, ethical medical practice, and adherence to Health Authority and UAE regulatory standards. <
