Joinery Draftsman

Key Responsibilities Prepare detailed joinery shop drawings, fabrication drawings, and production drawings based on architectural and interior design drawings.Develop detailed plans, elevations, sections, and construction details for custom joinery works.Prepare drawings for doors, wardrobes, kitchens, cabinets, wall panels, counters, reception desks, furniture, vanities, and other bespoke joinery elements.Ensure drawings accurately reflect dimensions, materials, finishes, hardware, and construction methods.Review architectural, interior design, and consultant drawings and identify discrepancies or missing information.Coordinate joinery drawings with architectural, structural, MEP, and interior design requirements.Incorporate design changes and client/consultant comments into drawings.Prepare detailed cutting, assembly, and installation information where required.Coordinate closely with the production, estimation, procurement, site, and project teams.Ensure drawings are practical and suitable for manufacturing and site installation.Take measurements from site when required and incorporate site conditions into shop drawings.Prepare material and hardware details in coordination with project requirements.Maintain proper drawing standards, revisions, numbering, and documentation.Assist in resolving technical and detailing issues during production and installation.Ensure all drawings are completed within project timelines and meet required quality standards.RequirementsDiploma, ITI, or degree in Drafting, Interior Design, Architecture, Joinery, or a related field.3–7 years of relevant experience as a Joinery Draftsman, preferably within the UAE or GCC.Strong experience in joinery shop drawings and production detailing.Good knowledge of joinery materials such as MDF, plywood, veneer, laminates, solid wood, glass, acrylic, and related finishes.Good understanding of joinery fabrication, assembly, installation, and construction methods.Strong proficiency in AutoCAD.Knowledge of SketchUp, Revit, or other 3D modelling software is an advantage.Ability to read and interpret architectural, interior design, and technical drawings.Strong understanding of dimensions, scales, tolerances, materials, and construction details.Good coordination and communication skills.Ability to work independently and manage multiple drawings/projects within deadlines.Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
