Team members collaborate closely with customers and internal stakeholders to achieve outstanding results on each project.Role Description The Joinery Estimator is a full-time, on-site role based in the United Arab Emirates, responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates for joinery, cabinetry, and custom fixture projects. Day-to-day tasks include reviewing drawings and specifications, quantifying materials and labor, requesting and analyzing vendor quotations, and preparing detailed cost breakdowns and bids. The Joinery Estimator collaborates with design, production, and project management teams to clarify technical requirements, optimize material usage, and align estimates with project timelines and budgets. The role also involves updating cost databases, tracking market prices, and supporting negotiations with clients and suppliers to ensure competitive and profitable proposals.QualificationsStrong background in joinery, carpentry, or interior fit-out estimation, with the ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.Proficiency in estimation and costing tools (e.g., Excel, estimation software) and familiarity with CAD or similar design software is highly beneficial.Knowledge of materials, hardware, finishes, and manufacturing processes used in joinery, cabinetry, and custom fixtures.Solid analytical and numerical skills, including attention to detail, accuracy in measurements, and the ability to compare and evaluate multiple cost scenarios.Effective communication and collaboration skills for working with designers, project managers, production teams, suppliers, and clients.Organizational and time-management skills to handle multiple quotations and deadlines in a fast-paced project environment.Previous experience in UAE or GCC markets and familiarity with local suppliers, costs, and industry standards is an advantage.Diploma or degree in Quantity Surveying, Engineering, Interior Design, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience in joinery estimation.
