For their European HQ in Amsterdam they are seeking to recruit a Accountant to support further growth. You will be reporting to the Management Accountant and be part of a large, international Finance team.In this role, you will gain broad exposure to property accounting, financial reporting and the full property lifecycle, working closely with colleagues across Finance as well as Property Management and Asset Management.Tasks & ResponsibilitiesPrepare journals, balance sheet reconciliations and supporting schedules as part of the month-end, quarter-end and year-end closeSupport the preparation of financial reporting, statutory accounts, audit deliverables and financial analysesAssist with the accounting for property acquisitions, developments, asset enhancement initiatives, disposals and other property-related transactionsWork closely with the Shared Services Centre to ensure accurate cash, intercompany and AP/AR reconciliationsContribute to improving finance processes, controls and reporting, while ensuring compliance with Group Accounting PoliciesWork closely with the Management Accountant and wider Finance team, building relationships with stakeholders across Property Management and Asset Management and developing your expertise in property accountingProfileBachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or Business AdministrationApproximately 2+ years of relevant experience within a finance or accounting environment; Real Estate experience is a plusStrong financial accounting and balance sheet experience, with experience in month-end and year-end closingExperience with statutory financial reporting and knowledge of IFRS, Dutch GAAP or German GAAP is an advantageStrong Excel and IT skills; experience with ERP systems and/or Yardi is a plusProfessional working proficiency in English, with a hands-on, proactive and accurate approach; Dutch and/or German is a plus but not a requirementSalary60K + 10% bonus and excellent benefits
