Network & Systems Administrator, Fiberwave TechnologiesAbout usFiberwave Technologies brings fiber internet, Wi-Fi, and voice to apartment communities and businesses across the United States.What you'll doManage and maintain our servers and virtual machines on VMware and Proxmox, including setup, updates, backups, and monitoring.Administer our Asterisk-based phone systems: extensions, trunks, dial plans, and troubleshooting, along with Yealink phone setup.Help set up and maintain the routers, switches, and Wi-Fi access points at our properties, working with senior engineers.Troubleshoot connectivity problems for residents and business customers, and handle escalated helpdesk tickets.Watch network and server monitoring alerts and help respond to outages.Manage Microsoft 365 users and security, and support staff laptops and phones.Keep network, server, and IP documentation up to date.Visit properties with field techs for installs and new building launches.What you bring1–3 years in IT, systems administration, or networking. Strong home labs count.Hands-on experience with VMware and/or Proxmox virtualization.Comfort with Linux administration (command line, services, logs, updates).Experience with Asterisk, FreePBX, or other SIP/VoIP phone systems.A solid grasp of IP addressing, VLANs, DHCP, DNS, and basic routing.Curiosity, problem-solving skills, and clear communication.Nice to haveExposure to MikroTik, Ubiquiti, or Cisco gear.Experience with monitoring tools such as Observium, Netdata, or Zabbix.Certifications such as Network+, CCNA, MTCNA, Linux+, or VMware VCP, or progress toward them.Interest in fiber optics and FTTH networks.Why FiberwaveYou'll get hands-on ownership of real servers, phone systems, and a live fiber network, along with mentorship, support for certifications, and a clear path to a senior engineering role.
