Jr. Publicist$18 – $21.64 /hrSan Diego, CAAbout the RoleInnoVision is seeking a motivated Jr. Publicist to join our PR team. In this role, you’ll help develop brand strategies through public relations by generating and pitching content and new ideas that create standout PR opportunities for our clients and company.What You’ll DoKeep and update calendars (editorial, press conferences, events, etc.) and media listsParticipate in brainstorming and planning sessionsAssist in organizing and executing events and campaignsConduct research to support PR planningDraft and distribute content such as newsletters and press releasesSupport relationships with stakeholders, media, vendors, and other partnersAssist in tracking, reporting, and presenting media coverage and PR metrics (e.g., web analytics)Identify ways to streamline communication and plan executionMaintain digital clipbooks for brand partners and create PR reports for each projectSupport marketing, writing, and interpersonal relationships with media, vendors, influencers, bloggers, and journalistsAssist in creating and updating media listsProvide general account support, including on smaller client accountsDevelop and maintain a library of current reference materialsReview copy against department style guides, proofread, and edit — with attention to copyright details like trademarks and country of originHandle general administrative and clerical dutiesWhat We’re Looking ForB.A. in English, Journalism, Advertising, Marketing, or a related field preferred1–2 years of writing experience in advertising, PR, or a related field preferredExcellent written and verbal communication, presentation, and editing skillsStrong copywriting and proofreading/editing abilitiesFamiliarity with multiple media platformsGreat organizational skills and the ability to multitaskA collaborative, team-oriented mindset with strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skillsCustomer/client-focused approach and thoroughness in your workEqual Opportunity EmployerInnoVision LLC is an equal opportunity employer.
