We build a better way.The Junior Accountant will report to the Senior Accountant, and is responsible for Jobpac data entry, accounts payable processing and supporting month-end financial processes. The role is central to the accurate recording of project costs, subcontractor agreements, purchase orders, supplier invoices and commitments in a construction contracting environment, ensuring the business maintains timely and accurate financial records.As Junior Accountant you will:Process supplier/subcontractor invoices, POs, and commitments in Jobpac, maintaining accurate AP ledger and masterfile dataReconcile supplier statements, resolve discrepancies, and prepare payment runs/remittances for approvalMaintain accurate data across Jobpac modules (AP, Projects, POs, Commitments) and support system testing/reportingAssist with month-end/year-end close: accruals, prepayments, AP cut-off, and sub-ledger reconciliations to GLCode and allocate invoices/costs correctly to projects, cost categories, and cost centresMonitor and flag PO/commitment/invoice discrepancies to Senior Accountant or Head of FinanceSupport Project Managers with cost queries and timely responsesEnsure invoice processing complies with approval policies, and maintain documentation for audit and compliance purposesWhat will make you stand out?Experience in accounts payable or junior accounting roles, preferably in the Construction or Engineering sectorsExperience with Jobpac or similar construction ERP systems is highly regardedStrong data entry skills with high attention to accuracy and detailFamiliarity with AP processes including PO matching, invoice coding, payment runs and supplier reconciliationsStudying towards or recently completed an accounting qualification (CPA, CA or equivalent); minimum 2–3 years relevant experienceAi-experience, logical approach and mindset to harnessing Ai (Claude) is considered favourablyWe’re committed to building an inclusive and diverse workplace where everyone feels valued.
