Apply & track with Apply EdgeRole DescriptionWe are looking for a detail-oriented and organized Junior Accountant to support daily accounting operations and maintain accurate financial records. You will work closely with the finance and accounting team to process financial transactions, perform reconciliations, prepare reports, and support month-end and year-end closing activities.You will assist with accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger entries, invoicing, expense claims, bank reconciliations, and other routine accounting tasks. You will ensure transactions are properly recorded, supported by appropriate documentation, and processed in accordance with internal policies and applicable accounting requirements.The role involves preparing accounting schedules, maintaining financial records, monitoring outstanding balances, investigating discrepancies, and supporting the preparation of management and financial reports. You will also assist with audit requests, tax-related documentation, statutory submissions, and other finance activities when required.You will work with internal departments and external parties to clarify financial information, resolve discrepancies, and ensure accounting data is complete and accurate. You will also contribute to improving accounting processes, strengthening financial controls, and maintaining well-organized documentation.QualificationsBachelor’s degree or above in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field.Good understanding of accounting principles, bookkeeping, general ledger processes, and financial statements.Familiarity with accounts payable, accounts receivable, invoicing, expense management, bank reconciliation, and month-end closing procedures.Strong numerical, analytical, and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail.Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including formulas, pivot tables, and basic financial data analysis.Familiarity with accounting software, ERP systems, or financial management platforms is a plus.Ability to accurately process, organize, verify, and maintain financial data and supporting documentation.Basic understanding of accounting standards, internal controls, tax requirements, and statutory compliance.Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple accounting tasks and deadlines.Good written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work effectively with internal teams and external stakeholders.Ability to handle confidential financial information with professionalism, integrity, and discretion.Strong willingness to learn and develop knowledge of accounting systems, financial processes, reporting, and compliance requirements.Responsible, proactive, and detail-oriented mindset with a strong commitment to accuracy, financial integrity, and continuous improvement.
