More information is available at www.uoa.gr and alumni.uoa.gr.Role DescriptionThis concerns 2 separate full-time, EXCLUSIVE work that requires PHYSICAL MOBILITY TO ITALY or SPAIN (multiple locations depending on the project, including UnivAQ, CNIT, University of Trento) after a few months of training in Athens Greece. MOBILITY OUTSIDE GREECE IS a HARD requirement. (Do not apply if not interested).The Junior Researcher – AI for Asset Health Management will support research projects focused on applying artificial intelligence methods to monitor, visualize, predict and prescript asset states in Industrial Setups (or Telecom Networks). Day-to-day tasks include assisting in the design and evaluation of AI models in the context of Containerized Environments processing Computer Vision Streams (or Network Management Streams). The emphasis is given both on developing end-to-end asset health management solutions and platforms, as well as writing Scientific papers for top-tier IEEE Transactions on .. Journals. The role involves contributing to documentation, preparing reports and presentations, and collaborating with other junior researchers, faculty members, and technical support staff. The recruited fellow will be enrolled into a PhD in 2027 (but will start November 2026), assuming successful collaboration for the first few months.QualificationsStrong analytical skills and problem-solving abilities for data analysis and AI model evaluation (Neural Algorithmic Reasoning, Neurosymbolic AI, Deep Reinforcement Learning)Fluency in Computer Vision models for 6D OD, 3D HPE, Scene analytics, OR knowledge of mobile telecommunications systems and their management, including advanced network concepts and architectures.Fluency in Unity Game Engine and ROS/ROS2 systems will be considered as a plus.Experience with writing technical papers and project deliverables.Proven experience with AI or machine learning concepts and tools (e.g., Python, relevant libraries)Bachelor’s and Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Telecommunications, or a related field; a master’s degree is a plus.Ability to work collaboratively in a research team, communicate technical findings clearly, and document work systematically.Interest in academic research and willingness to learn and adapt to evolving telecom and AI technologies.Salary ~27K NET per year (~42K gross).Even if the job post is paused/closed in LinkedIn, you can still send me your CV AND ANSWER TO THE QUESTIONS ABOVE at nio@uoa.gr.Permanent job postings: https://dionysisxenakis.com/
