Junior AML Analyst

INTELEXPRESS Athens - Worldwide Money Transfers is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Junior AML Analyst to join our growing Compliance team. In this entry-level role, you will play a vital part in protecting our organization from financial crime by monitoring transactions, conducting client risk assessments, and ensuring strict adherence to Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and Counter-Terrorist Financing (CTF) regulations.This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate or someone early in their career looking to develop a solid foundation in regulatory compliance within a dynamic financial environment. Key Responsibilities

• Transaction Monitoring: Review, analyze, and clear daily system-generated AML alerts to identify suspicious activity or unusual transaction patterns.
• KYC & Due Diligence: Perform Client Due Diligence (CDD) and Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD) by verifying customer identification documentation (KYC) and corporate structures.
• Sanctions & PEP Screening: Conduct thorough screening of new and existing clients against international sanctions lists, adverse media, and Politically Exposed Persons (PEPs) databases.
• Regulatory Requests: Respond to and handle inquiries, requests for information , and data mandates from law enforcement, financial intelligence units (FIUs), and other public or regulatory authorities in a timely and accurate manner.
• Investigation & Escalation: Investigate potentially suspicious cases, gather necessary evidence, and escalate high-risk findings to senior analysts and the Compliance Officer.
• Record Keeping: Maintain accurate, well-documented compliance records and audit trails in line with regulatory requirements. Requirements
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Law, Business Administration, Political Science, or a related field.
• Experience: 2 years of experience in compliance, banking, risk management, or a data-analytical role (internship experience is a plus).
• Skills: Strong analytical mindset with exceptional attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
