Junior Buyer

Proven experience in a purchasing or procurement support role, with confident supplier communication and strong Excel skills.A leading family-owned food manufacturer are currently recruiting for a Junior Buyer on a full-time, permanent basis in Swindon, Wiltshire.Role: Junior BuyerType: PermanentLocation: Swindon, Wiltshire (hybrid working pattern - 2-3 days onsite following probation)Salary: £28,000Key responsibilities for the Junior Buyer will include and will not be limited to:Running MRP reports for raw materials and packagingChasing purchase orders, expediting deliveries, and escalating supply issues where requiredMaintaining supplier relationships and obtaining updated pricingMonitoring and responding to the purchasing inbox and day-to-day supply queriesKeeping purchasing spreadsheets, reports, and system data accurate and up to dateSupporting tenders and other procurement-related processes as neededKey skills and experience required for Junior Buyer job applicant and will not be limited to:Procurement or purchasing experience, with a proactive and organised approachStrong supplier communication skills, including confidence making phone callsSolid Excel skills and experience maintaining spreadsheets and purchasing dataAbility to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment with minimal stock heldCommercial awareness and a positive, solutions-focused attitudeFood or FMCG manufacturing experience (nice to have)To apply for this Junior Buyer/Purchasing Assistant/Assistant Buyer candidates must be eligible to live and work in the UK.
