Assistant Buyer – Fashion We’re excited to offer an opportunity for a talented Junior Buyer to join this retailer in a newly created position.You will assist in the sourcing, negotiating and purchasing of products that meet the company’s vision and buying strategy.Assistant Buyer Key Responsibilities:Plan a commercial range within your own areas alongside the Buyer and Buying DirectorMaintain a clear understanding of the customer brand handwritingEnsure the supply base has the capability to meet requirementsNegotiate with suppliers for best priceReview competitor activity and regularly assess price architectureMeeting deadlines within the buying calendarSet clear performance standardsPresent the range in trading, selection, sign off and review meetingsActively trade the departmentRegularly visit stores and work closely with retail and Merchandise colleaguesOversee the critical path for the departmentWhat You’ll Need:Previous experience working on a fashion product is essentialExcellent communication and organisational skills
