Junior CAD Designer

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced CAD Designer to support the design and development of large scale industrial and warehouse structures, including rack-supported high-bay storage systems. In this role, you will create detailed 3D models and technical drawings for steel structures and integrated warehouse automation systems. You will work closely with engineering, project management, and automation teams to deliver accurate and buildable designs for complex industrial projects. Key Responsibilities  Develop detailed 3D models of steel structures, racking systems, and structural components using CAD software such as SolidWorks, Autodesk Inventor, AutoCAD, or Tekla Structures.  Create and manage large assemblies consisting of thousands of components. Produce 2D technical drawings, fabrication drawings, and assembly documentation.  Ensure designs meet engineering, manufacturing, and installation requirements. Collaborate with structural engineers and automation specialists working on conveyors, automated storage and retrieval systems (AS/RS), and cranes.  Detect and resolve design clashes and technical issues.  Maintain proper file organization, version control, and model optimization.  Support design updates throughout the full project lifecycle. Requirements  Minimum 2 years of experience in 3D CAD design within industrial, mechanical, or structural engineering projects.  Proficiency in at least one of the following: AutoCAD, Autodesk Inventor/SolidWroks.  Experience working with large and complex assemblies.  Ability to produce clear and accurate manufacturing drawings.  Good understanding of steel structures, connections, and basic load principles.  High attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills.  Good communication skills and ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team.  Professional working proficiency in English. Nice to Have  Experience with warehouse systems, racking structures, or logistics facilities.  Familiarity with automated systems such as AS/RS, conveyors, and cranes.  Knowledge of European structural standards, including Eurocode.  Previous involvement in industrial construction or engineering projects.
