ResponsibilitiesDevelop an understanding of coastal engineering and the role of applications of modelling and how they serve the designsDevelop an understanding of coastal processes including met-oceanic forcing, specifically on wave propagation, hydrodynamic coastal circulationDevelop expertise in hydrodynamic modelling, water exchange (flushing), wave propagation modelling, wave agitation modelling, beach modelling (beach profile and shoreline changeGet introduced to usage of international codes and standards for coastal engineering and coastal structures designSupport coastal engineers as well as senior engineers in the preparation of drawings with draftsmanDevelop skills on beach design, as well as specification for artificial beachesSupport with numerical modelling and design tasksSupport with pre and post processing tasksDevelop skills on engineering/scientific report write-up, and ability to compose presentations using Microsoft suiteQualificationBachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Preferably Civil, Structural, Coastal), or equivalentMaster’s Degree in Coastal Engineering is an advantageMinimum 1 - 2 years of experience in a similar role and industry
