Junior Designer

Yolk brands is seeking a detail-oriented and highly motivated Junior Draftsman to join our growing team. In this role, you will work closely with our engineers and architects to convert concepts, rough sketches, and technical specifications into accurate, detailed technical drawings. The ideal candidate will have exceptional, proven expertise in AutoCAD and a strong foundation in drafting principles. This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career professional to develop their skills and contribute to diverse and challenging projects.Key ResponsibilitiesDrafting & Design: Create, edit, and finalize highly detailed 2D architectural or engineering drawings using AutoCAD.Collaboration: Work side-by-side with senior designers, architects, and project managers to ensure drawings accurately reflect design intent and structural specifications.Revisions: Quickly and accurately update drawings based on redlines, markups, and feedback from the project team or clients.Standardization: Ensure all technical drawings adhere strictly to company drafting standards, industry best practices, and local building or engineering codes.Documentation: Organize and maintain a clean, accessible library of project files, drawing revisions, block libraries, and reference documents.Field Support: Occasionally assist in site visits to take precise measurements and verify existing field conditions against blueprints.Required QualificationsEducation: Associate’s degree, technical diploma, or formal certification in Drafting, Computer-Aided Design (CAD), Architecture, Engineering, or a related field.AutoCAD Expertise: Highly proficient in AutoCAD with a strong portfolio demonstrating speed, accuracy, and mastery of standard practices (e.g., layer management, xrefs, block creation, paper space/model space setups).Experience: 1 years of hands-on professional drafting experience.

Technical Skills

Strong ability to read, interpret, and understand technical blueprints, schematics, and engineering documents.Soft Skills: Excellent attention to detail, strong time-management abilities to meet project deadlines, and a collaborative team mindset.Preferred QualificationsFamiliarity with additional design software (e.g., SketchUp).Basic understanding of 3D modeling principles.Previous experience in the [e.g., MEP, F&B , Commercial] sector.
