Junior Equity Analyst (Technology) – Hedge Fund

About the Role

We are seeking a highly energetic and proactive Junior Equity Analyst (with a focus on Technology) to join our dynamic hedge fund team. This role offers significant exposure to diverse industries, rigorous investment analysis, and direct interaction with seasoned investment professionals.Experience: 2-3 years in buy-side or sell-side equity research, or investment bankingCompensation: $150,000-$250,000 annuallyResponsibilities:Participate extensively in investment conferences, conference calls, industry events, and investor meetings, serving as the team's eyes and ears in gathering actionable insights.Maintain and update comprehensive financial models, assisting in detailed company and industry analyses.Provide coverage and research support across multiple sectors and industries as needed.Assist in the preparation of investment memos, presentations, and analytical reports.Collaborate closely with senior analysts and portfolio managers, contributing actively to the investment decision-making process.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a related discipline.2-3 years of relevant experience in sell-side equity research or investment banking.Proven analytical skills with proficiency in financial modeling and valuation techniques.Strong work ethic, intellectual curiosity, and an ability to thrive in a fast-paced, demanding environment.Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.Ability to work independently, take initiative, and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
