Junior Financial AnalystAbout the JobThe Junior Financial Analyst will play an important role in supporting the financialoperations of the Tanya Taylor business while gaining broad exposure to how a growingfashion and consumer business operates.This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate looking to build a strong foundation in finance. The role will begin with hands-on responsibility for core financial processes, including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and monthly close, while providing increasing exposure to financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting and long-range planning.We are looking for someone who is curious, analytical, highly organized and excited to learn. This is a role with meaningful room to grow for the right person.Responsibilities1. Accounts PayableReview, code and enter vendor invoices into the accounting systemVerify invoice accuracy and ensure appropriate approvals are obtainedRespond to vendor inquiries and resolve payment discrepanciesReconcile vendor statements and investigate outstanding items2. Accounts ReceivableApply customer payments and maintain accurate customer account recordsMonitor outstanding balances and assist with collection effortsResearch and resolve customer payment discrepanciesPrepare customer account reconciliations as neededSupport credit memo and deduction tracking processes3. Accounting & Financial ReportingSupport the monthly close process and preparation of management reportingAssist with account reconciliations and investigate variancesHelp maintain accurate and timely financial information across the businessDevelop an understanding of the company's accounting and reporting processes4. Financial Planning & AnalysisSupport quarterly forecasting, annual budgeting and long-range planningPrepare recurring and ad-hoc financial analyses for senior managementAnalyze actual results versus budget and forecast and investigate key variancesAssist in preparing financial reports and presentations for managementDevelop an understanding of the key financial and operating drivers of the business5.
