The role is transversal in nature: the candidate will contribute across multiple flagship projects, building responsive, performant, and visually refined user interfaces that bring Institute Itech's technological platforms to life.The selected candidate will work alongside senior developers, UX designers, and backend engineers, developing modern frontend applications using React and Next.js in a collaborative, research-driven environment.This is an ideal opportunity for a recently graduated or early-career developer passionate about building clean, user-centered digital experiences on projects with real technological and environmental impact.Responsibilities:Frontend Development & UI ImplementationDevelop responsive and performant user interfaces using React and Next.jsTranslate UX/UI designs into clean, maintainable, and accessible frontend codeImplement reusable components and contribute to the development and maintenance of shared design systemsEnsure cross-browser compatibility and mobile responsiveness across all delivered interfacesIntegration & CollaborationIntegrate frontend applications with RESTful APIs and backend services developed by the engineering teamCollaborate closely with backend developers, UX designers, and project managers to ensure technical and design coherenceParticipate in code reviews, technical planning sessions, and sprint cyclesPerformance & QualityOptimize frontend performance through best practices in rendering, lazy loading, and state managementWrite clean, well-documented, and testable code in line with Institute Itech's engineering standardsIdentify and resolve UI bugs and inconsistencies across devices and platformsCross-Project Technical ContributionCollaborate with engineering and research teams across projects including Memoria™, Polaris™, Oxyleaf™, Balloon™, and Biocity™Contribute frontend expertise during the design and implementation phases of concurrent projectsSupport the delivery of data visualization interfaces, monitoring dashboards, and interactive platformsDocumentation & Knowledge SharingMaintain clear and organized technical documentation for all frontend development activitiesContribute to component libraries, internal wikis, and onboarding materialsSupport knowledge transfer and mentoring of future junior team members as the team growsRequirementsBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a closely related discipline (or equivalent practical formation)Up to 0–3 years of experience in frontend development (academic projects and thesis experience considered)Proficiency in React and familiarity with Next.jsSolid understanding of HTML5, CSS3, and modern JavaScript (ES6+)Familiarity with responsive design principles and mobile-first developmentBasic understanding of version control with GitAbility to read and implement designs from Figma or equivalent design toolsFluent Italian (mandatory)Fluent English (mandatory)Attention to detail, a clean code mindset, and a proactive approach to problem-solvingPreferred QualificationsFamiliarity with state management libraries (Redux, Zustand, or equivalent)Experience with CSS frameworks or component libraries (Tailwind CSS, Material UI, or equivalent)Basic knowledge of testing tools (Jest, React Testing Library, or equivalent)Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and deployment workflows (Vercel, Netlify, or equivalent)Interest in data visualization, interactive dashboards, or IoT-connected interfacesExposure to TypeScript and its application in React projectsFamiliarity with Agile or Scrum development methodologiesBenefits ProvidedEntry-level role with immediate exposure to diverse, high-impact technology projectsMentorship and direct collaboration with senior developers, UX designers, and multidisciplinary teamsTransversal experience across multiple flagship projects and technological domainsGrowth path toward Mid-level or Senior Frontend DeveloperWork environment at the intersection of software engineering, AI, data visualization, and environmental innovationReimbursement of approved travel and project-related expensesCompensationAnnual Gross Salary: €40,000, in line with junior software engineering profiles.
