Junior Geotechnical Engineer

Key Responsibilities

Analyze and interpret geotechnical data using advanced statistical techniques and scripting tools (e.g., Python, MATLAB, Pandas) to support foundation design, slope stability, and ground behavior assessments.Develop automated models and data visualization tools for geotechnical monitoring systems using Python and data science libraries (e.g., Matplotlib, Seaborn, Scikit-learn).Integrate geotechnical findings with GIS and digital mapping platforms, enabling spatial analysis and predictive modeling for site investigations and risk assessments.Collaborate with cross-functional engineering and data teams to implement machine learning techniques for predictive analytics in settlement behavior, soil classification, and subsurface profiling.Understanding of soil mechanics, familiar with rock mechanics, basic foundation computations, foundation testing, etc.…Develop foundation soil parameters, design assessment, engineering analyses and prepare reports for approval. Review and check third party reports and engineering analyses.Assist Engineering teams on Projects for geotechnical engineering and design.Analyze the soil parameters and assess the stability of structures under normal and seismic conditions.Assist with design of structures, using specialized software or calculations.Develop design drawings and specifications for ground improvement, geotechnical investigation and marine constructionPlan, conduct and supervise geotechnical investigations effectively.Review geotechnical design developed by third party consultants.Qualifications and Experience Required:Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Geotechnical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or related field (PhD is a plus).Minimum of 3+ years of relevant experience, including project delivery in soil improvement and reclamation works.Proven track record with knowledge and experience in programming and coding.Strong analytical, design, and report-writing skills.
