Job Summary We are looking for a Junior IT & Cloud Operations Engineer to help maintain our internal IT environment, keep our websites on Google Cloud Platform (GCP) stable and secure, and manage our Cloudflare services. This role suits early-career engineers who want hands-on experience in cloud infrastructure, web operations, and cybersecurity.Key ResponsibilitiesIT MaintenanceProvide day-to-day IT support for employees, including hardware, software, network, and account issuesSet up, maintain, and track company devices, peripherals, and software licensesManage user accounts and access permissions (e.g., Google Workspace, internal systems)Maintain office network equipment such as routers, switches, and Wi-FiDocument IT procedures, asset inventories, and troubleshooting guidesWebsite Maintenance (GCP)Monitor and maintain websites and services hosted on GCP (e.g., Compute Engine, Cloud Run, Cloud Storage, Cloud SQL)Perform routine updates, patches, backups, and restore testsMonitor uptime, performance, and logs using Cloud Monitoring and Cloud Logging, and respond to alertsAssist with deployments, environment configuration, and cost monitoringTroubleshoot website errors and coordinate with developers to resolve issuesCloudflare ManagementManage DNS records, SSL/TLS certificates, and domain settingsConfigure and tune caching, page rules, and performance optimization settingsMaintain WAF rules, rate limiting, and bot management policiesMonitor traffic analytics and investigate abnormal traffic patternsSecurity & ProtectionMonitor for security threats, including DDoS attacks, malicious traffic, and unauthorized accessApply security best practices for IAM, firewall rules, and least-privilege access on GCPConduct routine vulnerability checks and help remediate findingsAssist in incident response, root cause analysis, and post-incident reportingHelp maintain security policies such as password rules, MFA, and endpoint protectionRequirementsBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Management, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience0–2 years of experience in IT support, system administration, or cloud operationsBasic understanding of networking (DNS, HTTP/HTTPS, TCP/IP, SSL/TLS)Familiarity with Linux command line and basic system administrationBasic knowledge of GCP or another cloud platform (AWS, Azure)Eagerness to learn, strong problem-solving skills, and good communicationNice to HaveHands-on experience with Cloudflare (DNS, WAF, CDN)Scripting skills (Bash, Python)Experience with Docker, Git, or CI/CD toolsCertifications such as Google Cloud Associate Cloud Engineer, CompTIA Security+, or CCNA
