Graduate/Junior Java DevelopersSalary: £50,000 per annumLocation: West LondonWorking pattern: 3 days per week in the officeAbout the RoleWe’re looking for a talented Graduate/Junior Java Developers to join our engineering team in Hammersmith. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent Computer Science graduate to build production software, work with modern JVM technologies, and develop their career alongside experienced engineers.You’ll be involved across the software development lifecycle, contributing to the design, development, testing and deployment of scalable applications running on AWS.What You’ll Be Working WithJava as the primary development languageSpring Boot for building robust, production-grade applicationsScala and Kotlin across our JVM technology stackAWS for cloud infrastructure and servicesModern software engineering practices including testing, CI/CD, code review and Agile developmentEssentialA BSc in Computer Science (or closely related degree)Degree from a Top 20 UK universityStrong academic understanding of software engineering and computer science fundamentalsGood knowledge of JavaGenuine interest in JVM technologies and backend developmentStrong problem-solving and analytical skillsExcellent communication skillsRight to work in the UKDesirableExperience or academic/project exposure to any of the following:Spring / Spring BootScalaKotlinAWSREST APIs and microservicesSQL and relational databasesGitAutomated testingCI/CDDistributed systems or cloud computingWhat You’ll Get£50,000 starting salaryHybrid working, with 3 days per week in our Hammersmith officeHands-on experience with Java, Scala and KotlinExposure to AWS and modern cloud technologiesMentoring and support from experienced engineersA clear opportunity to progress your engineering careerThe chance to work on technically challenging, production-scale systemsThe Ideal CandidateYou’re a recent Computer Science graduate who enjoys solving difficult problems and wants to become an exceptional software engineer.
