Our teams support organisations across a range of industries, combining technical knowledge with a collaborative approach to delivery.About the RoleThis is an opportunity to develop your software engineering skills alongside experienced developers, contributing to applications that support a fast-paced trading environment.ResponsibilitiesSupport the development, testing and maintenance of applications using Java and Scala.Collaborate with engineers and business stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver software solutions.Investigate issues, debug code and contribute to code reviews.Build your understanding of credit trading and financial markets.QualificationsA master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related technical subject, with a strong academic record.Between 0 and 2 years of development experience. Graduates with strong university projects are encouraged to apply.Required SkillsA solid understanding of Java, object-oriented programming, data structures and algorithms.Exposure to Scala, or an interest in learning it.Strong problem-solving skills, clear communication and a collaborative approach.Familiarity with SQL, Git, unit testing, APIs or Linux would be beneficial, alongside an interest in financial services.Preferred SkillsFamiliarity with SQL.Familiarity with Git.Familiarity with unit testing.Familiarity with APIs.Familiarity with Linux.An interest in financial services.
