You will work directly with our partners on transactions and regulatory matters for foreign companies entering the Philippine market. Associates here take on client contact and drafting responsibility early, and they progress as fast as the quality of their work allows.We will consider recent Bar passers and lawyers with one or two years at a leading firm. In either case we are looking for a record of excellence: strong grades, a good Bar result, law review or moot court work, or early responsibility at a top firm.You might be a good fit ifYou have finished near the top of most cohorts you have joined, and you want work that will stretch you.You want to draft and negotiate agreements yourself and deal with clients early in your career.You are curious about how gaming, fintech and technology are regulated in the Philippines, and you would like to build a practice in these areas.You do your best work when given real responsibility and quick, direct feedback from senior lawyers.What you will doDraft and negotiate commercial contracts, partnership and service agreements, NDAs and other documents, with growing ownership of client relationships.Work on corporate transactions from due diligence and structuring through negotiation and closing.Advise foreign clients on Philippine corporate, commercial and regulatory law, in writing and on calls.Research legal and regulatory questions and turn the answers into practical advice.Help clients design compliance programs and manage legal risk.Prepare regulatory applications and represent clients before PAGCOR, the SEC, BSP, DTI and other agencies.Follow developments in gaming, fintech and technology regulation, and help clients decide how to respond.Direct the paralegal team's work on your matters.What we are looking forA JD from a leading Philippine law school with a strong academic record. Latin honors, a high class rank, law review membership or moot court success will count in your favor.Membership in the Philippine Bar, or a pass in the most recent Bar examinations.Up to two years in the corporate, commercial or transactional practice of a leading law firm. Exceptional new lawyers with relevant internships should also apply.Clear, precise legal writing and careful drafting.Confident English, written and spoken, of the standard international clients expect.Initiative.
