Junior Legal Officer

We are seeking a detail-oriented and ambitious Junior Legal Officer who will support the Legal Department by assisting with contract review, legal research, regulatory compliance, document management, and legal administration. The role plays a key part in ensuring that BitDelta operates in accordance with applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies while helping to mitigate legal and regulatory risks.Key ResponsibilitiesContract Management & Legal DocumentationDraft, review, and maintain legal agreements, including:Client agreementsNon-Disclosure Agreements (NDAs)Service agreementsOutsourcing agreementsEmployment-related documentationCorporate resolutions and governance documentsMaintain legal records and contract repositories, ensuring proper documentation and version control.Assist in monitoring contract obligations, renewals, and amendments.Commercial & Regulatory ReviewReview commercial contracts and identify legal, operational, regulatory, and reputational risks.Recommend suitable amendments and ensure agreements align with applicable laws, regulatory requirements, and company policies.Assist with legal support relating to business initiatives, partnerships, and strategic projects.Due Diligence & Third-Party ManagementSupport legal due diligence exercises involving:VendorsTechnology providersOutsourcing partnersLiquidity providersPayment service providersOther third-party counterpartiesReview contractual arrangements and assess related legal and regulatory obligations.Regulatory & Licensing SupportAssist in the preparation and review of:Regulatory business plansLicensing applicationsRegulatory submissionsGovernance frameworksFinancial projections and operating modelsCompliance reports and ongoing regulatory requirementsSupport interactions with regulators and assist with regulatory inspections, audits, and information requests.Legal Research & AdvisoryConduct legal and regulatory research on financial services, fintech, digital assets, and related industry developments.Monitor regulatory updates, circulars, and legislative changes impacting the business.Prepare legal memoranda, briefing notes, and regulatory summaries for internal stakeholders.Financial Markets KnowledgeDevelop a strong understanding of financial products and markets, including:EquitiesBondsCommoditiesForeign Exchange (FX)DerivativesContracts for Difference (CFDs)Futures and OptionsLeverage and Margin TradingSettlement and Clearing ProcessesSupport legal analysis relating to these products and associated regulatory requirements.Trading Platform & Operational SupportGain working knowledge of trading platforms such as:MetaTrader 5 (MT5)Iress TerminalCQG PlatformUnderstand platform operations from a legal and compliance perspective, including:Client onboarding and lifecycle managementMarket data servicesOrder execution workflowsRisk controls and platform governanceCross-Functional CollaborationWork closely with Compliance, Risk, Finance, Operations, and Business teams.Support legal initiatives and ensure timely completion of legal deliverables.Facilitate effective communication and collaboration across departments.Qualifications & ExperienceBachelor's Degree in Law (LLB or equivalent).1-3 years of legal experience, preferably within financial services, fintech, banking, brokerage, cryptocurrency, or digital asset sectors.Strong understanding of contract law and legal drafting principles.Excellent legal research, analytical, and problem-solving skills.Strong written and verbal communication skills.Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and legal document management tools.Exposure to financial services regulations, capital markets, fintech, or digital asset frameworks.Understanding of corporate governance and regulatory compliance requirements.Prior experience supporting licensing applications or regulatory projects.Interest in cryptocurrency, blockchain, and emerging financial technologies.
