Junior Linux Kernel Engineer

We're looking for a mobile kernel engineer to own the foundations of our Android platform - from the moment the SoC powers on through to a fully booted system. You'll work at the bootloader, kernel and driver layers on Qualcomm and MediaTek platforms, building the underlying software that everything else in the device runs on.If you enjoy bring-up work, debugging close to the silicon and architecting the layers most engineers never see, this role is built for you.ResponsibilitiesDevelop and maintain bootloader and kernel platform modules across Qualcomm and MediaTek SoCsLead underlying system architecture design, development and optimizationDevelop and debug software driver modules for mobile chip platformsBuild and maintain peripheral device drivers, BSP, secure boot, OTA upgrade and power management modulesDrive bring-up activities for new chipsets and board revisionsRequirementsStrong hands-on experience with Linux kernel and driver developmentDeep understanding of core kernel subsystems: scheduler, memory management, interrupts, clocks, filesystems and the Linux driver modelFamiliarity with the Linux kernel architecture and common subsystem frameworks (I2C, SPI, input)Hands-on experience with UART, I2C and SPI interface devicesWorking knowledge of the Qualcomm and MediaTek platform boot flow and bring-up processProficient in C and comfortable in a Linux/Android development environmentNice to haveBackground in secure boot, TEE, or A/B OTA upgrade systemsExperience shipping consumer Android devicesContributions to the Linux kernel or open-source BSP projectsWhat we offerA long-term opportunity based in WarsawAn international, cross-cultural environment where you'll collaborate with engineers across the globeDirect exposure to leading smartphone technologies shaping the industryPrivate medical care with LuxmedMultisport cardLocation: Warsaw, PolandWork model: Fully onsite - 5 days per week from the officeEmployment type: Employment contract (UoP) or B2B contractSalary range: Employment contract (UoP): PLN 8,500 -12,800 gross per monthB2B contract: PLN 10,200 - 15,000 net + VAT per month
