Junior Network and Security Specialist - Saudi National

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Network and Security Specialist to design, implement, monitor, and maintain secure and reliable network infrastructures. The ideal candidate will ensure the integrity, confidentiality, and availability of systems while proactively identifying and mitigating security risks.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign, configure, and maintain network infrastructure (LAN, WAN, VPN, firewalls, routers, switches).Implement and manage network security measures including firewalls, IDS/IPS, endpoint protection, and access controls.Monitor network performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure optimal uptime and efficiency.Conduct regular security assessments, vulnerability scans, and penetration testing.Respond to and investigate security incidents, breaches, and alerts.Develop and enforce security policies, procedures, and best practices.Manage user access, authentication systems, and identity management solutions.Ensure compliance with relevant standards and regulations (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST, GDPR, SAMA if applicable).Maintain up-to-date documentation of network architecture and security protocols.Collaborate with IT teams to support system upgrades, migrations, and integrations.Stay updated on emerging threats, technologies, and industry trends.Required QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.Proven experience in network & security administration roles.Strong knowledge of networking protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN).Hands-on experience with firewalls, routers, and switches (e.g., Cisco, Fortinet, Palo Alto, Unifi).Familiarity with security tools such as SIEM, antivirus, and intrusion detection/prevention systems.Understanding of encryption technologies, authentication methods, and secure network design.Preferred CertificationsCompTIA Security+CCNA / CCNP (Cisco Certified Network Associate / Professional)Key SkillsStrong analytical and problem-solving skills.Attention to detail and risk awareness.Ability to work under pressure and handle security incidents.Excellent communication and documentation skills.Team collaboration and adaptability.Working ConditionsFull-time position.May require on-call support for emergencies or critical incidents.* Occasional after-hours work for maintenance or upgrades.
