Apply & track with Apply EdgeThe Junior Payment Specialist is responsible for supporting payment operations across digital and traditional financial products, ensuring the timely, accurate, and compliant processing of client transactions. The role focuses on payment processing, transaction monitoring, reconciliation, and operational risk control while delivering a seamless client experience.The successful candidate will have experience handling high-volume transactions, resolving payment discrepancies, and coordinating with internal teams and external partners to maintain efficient and secure financial operations.Key ResponsibilitiesPayment Processing & OperationsProcess client deposits, withdrawals, transfers, and payment requests accurately and within agreed service levels.Monitor payment queues and ensure timely execution of transactions.Handle high-volume payment transactions across banking channels, payment gateways, and digital asset networks.Verify transaction details and ensure compliance with internal controls and operational procedures.Transaction Monitoring & ReconciliationMonitor transactions for accuracy, completeness, and potential irregularities.Perform daily reconciliations between banks, payment providers, wallets, and internal systems.Investigate and resolve payment discrepancies, settlement breaks, and transaction exceptions.Maintain accurate transaction records and audit trails.Digital & Traditional Asset SupportSupport payment activities related to Digital Assets, FX, Equities, CFDs, Commodities, Futures, and other financial products.Monitor wallet activity and assist with digital asset transfers and funding operations.Coordinate settlement and funding activities across various trading platforms and payment systems.Risk & ComplianceEnsure adherence to AML, KYC, sanctions screening, and transaction monitoring procedures.Identify and escalate suspicious or unusual transactions in accordance with company policies.Maintain compliance with regulatory requirements and internal risk management frameworks.Support audit and compliance reviews by maintaining accurate documentation.Stakeholder CoordinationCollaborate with Operations, Finance, Compliance, Customer Support, Treasury, and Technology teams to resolve payment-related issues.Liaise with banks, payment service providers, and external partners regarding transaction processing and investigations.Provide timely updates on payment statuses and issue resolutions.Operational ExcellenceContribute to process improvements and payment automation initiatives.Assist in developing and maintaining Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).Support testing and implementation of new payment methods and operational enhancements.Ensure high levels of accuracy, efficiency, and service quality.Qualifications & RequirementsBachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, Banking, Financial Services, or a related field.1-3 years of experience in Payment Operations, Banking Operations, FinTech, Brokerage Operations, Financial Services, or Digital Asset businesses.Experience processing deposits, withdrawals, transfers, and settlements.Exposure to both traditional financial products and digital asset environments is preferred.Experience handling high-volume transactions and payment investigations.Understanding of payment processing workflows and settlement cycles.Knowledge of Digital Assets, FX, Equities, CFDs, Commodities, and other financial products.Familiarity with payment gateways, electronic payment methods, and banking systems.Working knowledge of AML/KYC and transaction monitoring processes.Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and reconciliation activities.
