Junior PHP Laravel Backend Developer

We are hiring a Junior PHP Laravel Backend Developer to help build and improve production services, APIs, and integrations. You will join a team working on active digital products and contribute code that reaches real users.This role suits someone who wants to understand the problem behind a task, discuss possible solutions, and take responsibility for the quality of the result. • Build, maintain, and improve backend features using PHP and Laravel.
• Design and implement REST APIs and integrations with internal and external services.
• Work with MySQL data models, queries, migrations, and transactions.
• Write automated tests and deliver code that is readable, secure, and maintainable.
• Investigate defects, trace their root causes, and help improve reliability in production.
• Take part in code reviews, technical discussions, planning, and estimation.
• Collaborate with frontend, QA, product, and DevOps colleagues throughout delivery.
• Improve documentation, development practices, and parts of the codebase that slow the team down.What We Are Looking ForPHP and Laravel are the core technologies for this position. Relevant experience may come from professional work, an internship, education, or a substantial personal project.
• Hands-on experience with PHP 8 or later and Laravel.
• Understanding of object-oriented programming, modern PHP practices, and Composer.
• Working knowledge of relational databases, SQL, and MySQL.
• Understanding of REST APIs, HTTP, JSON, and common authentication concepts.
• Familiarity with Git and a structured development workflow.
• Ability to read existing code, debug problems, and explain your reasoning.
• A proactive approach to learning, communication, and team collaboration.What Helps You Stand Out
• Experience with PHPUnit, Pest, Laravel testing tools, or another automated testing approach.
• Familiarity with Redis, queues, background jobs, caching, or scheduled tasks.
