Junior Procurement and Material Coordinator

About the Role

We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Procurement & Materials Coordinator to join our growing team and support the procurement and materials coordination of our interior design and fit-out projects.The successful candidate will work closely with the Decor & Materials Specialist, assisting the day-to-day sourcing, quotation management, supplier follow-up, material documentation and procurement coordination across multiple projects.This role is suited to an organized, detail-oriented and proactive individual who is interested in developing their experience in procurement, materials, and interior fit-out.

Key Responsibilities

Supplier & Procurement Support:Contact suppliers and obtain quotations, product information, availability and lead times, based on project requirements.Review supplier quotations for accuracy, including quantities, specifications, dimensions, finishes, pricing and missing information, and report on any discrepancies or errors identified to coordinate with suppliers for corrections or revised quotations.Follow-up with suppliers regarding quotations, availability, and delivery status.Research and source new suppliers for materials when required.Assist with comparing supplier quotations and identifying suitable options.Request supplier invoices and supporting documents, and share the required documentation with the Accounts team.Maintain organized records of quotations and procurement-related documents.Material Coordination:Assist in preparing and updating project material lists and specifications, including material descriptions, quantities, and prices.Research suitable material characteristics and product alternatives based on project requirements when required.Request and coordinate material samples from suppliers, and occasionally collect samples and small purchases from local suppliers when needed.Request, maintain and updated supplier catalogues, pricelists, and technical data sheets.Assist with sourcing product images and material information required for moodboards and client presentations based on provided requirements.Assist with maintaining and organizing the company’s physical material library, including labelling and categorizing samples.Mandatory Requirements:1–2 years of experience in procurement, purchasing, materials, interior design, or a related field is preferred.Valid UAE driver’s license and own vehicle, as the role may occasionally require local collection of samples and small purchases.Other Requirements:Strong organizational skills and attention to detail and accuracy is a must.Good communication and supplier follow-up skills.Proactive attitude with a willingness to learn.Good knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.Knowledge in interior materials, finishes, furniture and design is an advantage.What We Are Looking For:We are looking for someone who is reliable, organized, and eager to learn.
