PRODUCTION PLANNING ENGINEERCompany: Safety Projects Pvt LtdDepartment: Production Planning & Control (PPC)Reporting To: Production HeadLocation: Umbergaon PlantPosition SummarySafety Projects Pvt Ltd is seeking an experienced and result-oriented Senior Production Planning Engineer to manage production planning, machine loading, material planning, ERP coordination, and production scheduling to ensure smooth manufacturing operations and timely project execution. The role requires strong coordination with cross-functional departments to optimize productivity, minimize delays, and improve delivery performance.Key ResponsibilitiesProduction PlanningPrepare daily, weekly, and monthly production plans based on project schedules and manufacturing capacity.Develop machine-wise loading plans for optimum utilization of plant resources.Monitor production capacity utilization and identify improvement opportunities.Ensure adherence to production schedules and committed delivery timelines.ERP CoordinationGenerate and release production orders through ERP systems.Monitor Work-in-Progress (WIP) through ERP and shop floor coordination.Track production progress, identify delays, and initiate corrective actions.Maintain accurate production and planning data within the ERP system.Material PlanningCoordinate with Stores and Purchase departments for timely material availability.Ensure availability of raw materials, consumables, and production inputs as per production schedules.Monitor inventory levels and material shortages to avoid production disruptions.Support inventory optimization and stock control activities.Cross-Functional CoordinationCoordinate Effectively WithDesign DepartmentProduction DepartmentStoresPurchase DepartmentDispatch DepartmentEnsure smooth communication and timely resolution of production-related issues.Reporting & MISPrepare planning MIS reports and production tracking reports.Monitor bottlenecks, delays, and resource constraints.Provide regular production status updates to management.Support continuous improvement initiatives in planning and manufacturing processes.QualificationBE / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or Industrial EngineeringExperience3–6 years of experience in Production Planning & Control (PPC), preferably in fabrication and manufacturing industry.Skills RequiredStrong knowledge of ERP systemsProduction planning and scheduling expertiseAdvanced Excel and reporting skillsUnderstanding of fabrication and manufacturing processesCapacity planning and resource optimizationStrong analytical and problem-solving abilitiesEffective coordination and communication skillsKey Performance Indicators (KPIs)Schedule adherencePlanning accuracyReduction in material shortagesEffective WIP controlOn-time delivery adherenceMachine utilization efficiencyPreferred AttributesAbility to work under pressure and manage multiple prioritiesStrong organizational and decision-making skillsProactive and solution-oriented approachTeam player with excellent coordination abilitiesSkills: material planning,metal fabrication,erp coordination,production planning,manufacturing
