Apply & track with Apply EdgeThe Role2PM Sharp is looking for a Junior Publicist who lives for comedy to join our Los Angeles team. This is a hybrid role, with 3-4 days per week in our LA office. You'll work closely with stand-up comedians, writers, and comedic talent across specials, tours, late-night appearances, and festival moments, all while getting hands-on with our broader roster across film, television, music, sports, and culture, on a team that moves fast and genuinely likes the work.If you're the person who already knows which comics are about to break, who's tracking every special drop, and who can rattle off which podcast a client should hit next, this is your seat at the table. We know great publicists come from all kinds of backgrounds, so if you don't check every box below but feel your experience translates, we'd still love to hear from you.What You'll DoDraft and distribute press releases, media alerts, and pitches for comedy clients and broader entertainment campaignsSupport media outreach and maintain press contact lists across comedy and entertainment mediaTrack and compile press coverage reportsCoordinate event logistics, guest lists, and on-site press activity for specials, tapings, tours, and premieresManage scheduling, calendars, and internal team communicationsSupport client deliverables and broader campaign executionKeep files, contact databases, and reporting tools organized and up to dateWhat We're Looking ForBachelor's degree in Public Relations, Communications, or a related field preferred (or equivalent experience)Strong writing skills and sharp attention to detailFamiliarity with press releases, media outreach, and PR workflowsGenuine interest in comedy, with an appreciation for entertainment and culture broadlyAbility to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environmentCollaborative, solutions-oriented mindsetExperience working with comedians, comedy clubs, stand-up specials, festivals, writers' rooms, or late-night programming is a strong plusPrevious experience in entertainment PR or an agency setting is a plus, but not requiredAvailability to work evenings and weekends as needed, including tapings, tours, and press eventsCompensation & BenefitsFull-time position based in Los AngelesExempt, salaried roleSalary range: $65,000–$70,000, determined by experience and skillsMedical, dental, and vision insurance401(k)Equal Opportunity Employer2PM Sharp is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, marital status, national origin, ancestry, age, disability, medical condition, genetic information, military or veteran status, or any other protected characteristic under applicable law.
