Key ResponsibilitiesAs a Junior Python Developer, you will contribute to the ongoing development and support of the proprietary Risk Management platform and quantitative library. You will:Build Python-based dashboards and tools used by traders, analysts, and risk managersAd-hoc data analysis and visualisation for senior stakeholdersMaintain a constant smooth day-to-day process with fast bug-fixingIncrease efficiency by refactoring and improving existing frameworks when possibleRequired Skills & QualificationsThe Firm is looking for a smart, curious, and technically capable individual with:0-1 years of experience in a quantitative or software development roleProficiency in Python, with a focus on production-level codeUnderstanding of data structures, numerical methods, and statisticsFamiliarity with Linux, Git, and scripting (Bash or similar)Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and communication abilityExperience using Pandas/Numpy/Plotly/HoloViz Panel is beneficialKnowledge of C++ is also beneficialExperience and knowledge of the fixed income or credit financial instruments at a bank or alternative asset managerEager to learn, with a proactive and self-motivated attitudeFluent in written and spoken EnglishThe Legal right to work in the United Kingdom is essentialSoft SkillsStrong attention to detail, proactive, highly organised and process-drivenAutonomous self-starterExcellent verbal and written communication and relationship building skillsAvailable to providing on-call, early morning and remote supportEducational requirementUpper second or 1st class honours degree in a STEM degree from a reputable universityWhat You’ll GainFirst-hand exposure to live financial systems and investment processesAn opportunity to work directly with experienced traders, risk managers, and quantsFast response cycles — see your code deployed and utilised across the firmA supportive environment that values technical excellence and ownershipStrong career development in both engineering and financeCandidates must have the legal right to work in the United Kingdom
