Junior QA/QC Engineer

Position OverviewThe Junior QA/QC Engineer is responsible for supporting quality assurance and quality control activities across assigned project areas and work packages—from initiation through closeout.The role ensures that construction works comply with the latest approved drawings, specifications, Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs), quality procedures, authority requirements, and project schedule. The position requires close coordination with project operations, subcontractors, consultants, third-party laboratories, and the Fire & Life Safety team.Key ResponsibilitiesConduct daily site surveillance to identify, communicate, and document quality deficiencies. Follow up on corrective actions to prevent recurrence.Perform inspections through approved electronic workflows in coordination with the execution team, subcontractors, consultants, and other relevant stakeholders.Accurately record, categorize, update, and manage inspection data, including post-inspection observations, comments, and required actions.Coordinate field and laboratory testing with approved third-party laboratories and subcontractors, ensuring test logs, reports, and supporting records are complete and current.Monitor subcontractor compliance with approved ITPs and ensure Work Inspection Requests (WIRs) and related documentation are submitted on time.Review works before formal inspection requests to confirm readiness and improve first-time approval rates.Work with the execution team to implement corrective and preventive actions related to Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs), observations, and other quality deficiencies.Support internal quality audits and verify that corrective and preventive measures implemented on site are effective.Participate in and coordinate snagging and de-snagging inspections using approved digital snagging platforms.Coordinate with the Fire & Life Safety team to confirm that installations and inspections comply with project specifications and relevant authority requirements.Track assigned QA/QC packages and prepare weekly and monthly updates covering inspections, approvals, resubmissions, NCRs, testing activities, and outstanding actions.Support QA/QC digitalization initiatives, including electronic inspection workflows, digital records, automated reporting, and real-time quality dashboards.Maintain accurate and complete quality records, including daily site diaries, inspection logs, testing records, and digital QA/QC registers.Identify and escalate irrelevant, inconsistent, or unreasonable inspection comments or rejections that could cause unnecessary rework, delay, or additional cost.Support project handover and closeout activities by verifying that quality records, test reports, inspection approvals, snag closures, and as-built documentation are complete.Perform other quality-related duties assigned by the QA/QC Manager or Project Quality Manager.Qualifications and ExperienceBachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related discipline.One to three years of relevant construction QA/QC experience.Experience working on luxury, high-end, or complex building projects is preferred.Technical Knowledge and CompetenciesWorking knowledge of construction methods, materials, and site execution processes.Understanding of construction standards, project specifications, approved drawings, method statements, ITPs, and inspection procedures.Familiarity with digital QA/QC and document-control platforms such as Aconex, Autodesk Construction Cloud/BIM 360, PMWeb, or similar systems.Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and technical documentation.Good documentation, reporting, and record-management skills.Strong communication and coordination capabilities.Solutions-oriented approach with attention to detail.Ability to prioritize and manage multiple activities in a fast-paced site environment.Enthusiasm for innovation, digital workflows, and continuous improvement.Positive attitude, professional conduct, and a collaborative personality.
