Junior Quality Assurance (QA) Engineer

Job SummaryWe are looking for a detail-oriented Junior QA Engineer with 1–2 years of experience to join our quality assurance team. The ideal candidate will assist in testing software applications, identifying bugs, and ensuring products meet quality standards before release. Key ResponsibilitiesReview requirements, specifications, and technical design documents to provide timely feedbackDesign, write, and execute test cases (manual and/or automated) based on functional and non-functional requirementsIdentify, document, and track bugs using bug-tracking tools (e.g., Jira, Azure DevOps, Bugzilla)Perform various types of testing: functional, regression, smoke, sanity, and integration testingCollaborate with developers to understand product requirementsVerify bug fixes and conduct regression testing to ensure no new issues are introducedAssist in creating and maintaining test plans, test scripts, and test dataDocument test results and prepare clear, concise test reportsRequired Skills & QualificationsBachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent practical experience)1–2 years of hands-on experience in software QA/testingSolid understanding of SDLC and STLC (Software/Testing Life Cycle)Hands-on Experience on Mobile App Testing (Android/IOS)Hands-on Experience on Web Application TestingKnowledge of automation testing tools such as Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, and Appium.Basic Knowledge of Penetration Testing & Vulnerability TestingBasic exposure to AI-powered testing tools like Testim, Applitools, or mabl for visual/UI regression testingBasic understanding of bug life cycle and defect managementExperience with at least one bug-tracking/test management tool (Jira, TestRail, Azure DevOps, etc.)Good understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologyStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsExcellent attention to detailGood written and verbal communication skillsPreferred / Good-to-Have SkillsISTBQ Certification – Foundation Level (CTFL)Basic SQL knowledge for backend/data validationUnderstanding of API testing tools (Postman, REST Assured)Exposure to version control systems (Git)Basic scripting knowledge (Python, Java, or JavaScript)Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab CI)Experience testing web and/or mobile applicationsBasic understanding of performance testing concepts
