Junior Research Fellow / Project Associate (to be converted to PhD)

The Junior Research Fellow / Project Associate is a full-time, on-site role based in working within the Department of Mechanical Engineering at BITS Pilani K. K. Birla Goa Campus. We are looking for candidates who are interested to convert to the role of research scholar (Ph.D Student) after 6 months as JRF.The role involves conducting literature reviews, assisting in experimental design, performing laboratory experiments, and collecting and analyzing data under the guidance of faculty supervisor. The team member will contribute to the preparation of research reports, manuscripts, and presentations, and support documentation required for project funding and compliance. Daily responsibilities also include coordinating with collaborators, maintaining research records, using relevant software tools, and participating in group meetings, seminars, and discussions to share progress and insights.QualificationsStrong foundation in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related discipline, with knowledge of core subjects such as fluid mechanics, heat transfer, CFDProficiency in research-related activities, including literature review, data collection, analysis, and scientific documentation.Minimum qualification of B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering or related field; higher degrees (M.E./M.Tech) or prior research experience are advantageous.Interest in pursuing research-oriented careers or higher studies, with willingness to learn new methods, tools, and technologies.
