ABOUT USSimaero is a leading independent pilot training organization operating full-flight simulators across France, South Africa, China, and India. Backed by Rive Private Investment, we deliver mandatory recurrent and type-rating training for commercial airline pilots. We are building the technology backbone to support our multi-country growth and are looking for a Junior Software Developer who is excited to grow with us and learn to ship real applications through AI-powered development tools.THE ROLEThis is an entry-level position designed for someone just starting their career in software development. You will contribute to designing and building SaaS applications—both internal tools and client-facing software—and you will learn to use agentic AI coding tools as a core part of your workflow. You will work across HR systems, training management platforms, operational dashboards, data infrastructure, and customer-facing products that serve our airline clients.You don’t need to arrive with all the answers. You will work closely with senior stakeholders, receive mentorship, and be given the space to grow into full ownership of projects. The right candidate is curious, structured in their thinking, and genuinely excited by what AI-assisted development makes possible.KEY RESPONSIBILITIESContribute to the design and delivery of internal and client-facing SaaS applications (HRIS integrations, training management platforms, operational dashboards, client portals) with guidance from senior stakeholders.Use AI-assisted and agentic coding tools (Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, Cursor, or similar) to write, review, test, and iterate on code—this is central to how we build.Learn to translate business requirements into clear functional and technical specifications that serve as precise prompts for AI coding tools.Work with APIs, databases, and cloud infrastructure in a real multi-country production environment.Participate in testing, debugging, and quality assurance of AI-generated codebases.Collaborate directly with department heads and the Group CEO to understand business needs and turn them into working software.Stay curious about the evolving AI-assisted development ecosystem and bring new tools and practices to the team.REQUIRED PROFILEEducationDegree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or a related technical field (Bachelor’s or Master’s).Equivalent self-taught profiles with demonstrated curiosity, structured thinking, and a portfolio of personal or academic projects will be considered.Experience0–1 year of experience in software development or a related technical field.Academic projects, personal side projects, or contributions to open-source count—we value initiative and learning over years on a CV.Any hands-on experience with AI-assisted coding tools (Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, Cursor, or similar) is a strong plus, even if self-directed.Technical SkillsBasic familiarity with at least one modern programming language or framework (Golang, TypeScript, Python or equivalent )Front-end framwework (Angular, SvelteKit or equivalent )Basic linux knowledge and shell commandsSome understanding of how software is structured: APIs, version control (Git), and either relational or document databases.Curiosity about software architecture patterns (microservices, API-first, event-driven)—you don’t need to master them yet, but you should want to.Ability to read, begin to evaluate, and iterate on AI-generated code: identifying issues, asking the right questions, and improving quality.Basic awareness of cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and CI/CD concepts is a plus.Soft SkillsIntellectually curious and eager to learn fast in a lean, international environment.Autonomous enough to make progress independently, humble enough to ask for help when needed.Clear written communicator—you can describe what you’re building and why in plain language.Comfortable with ambiguity and excited by the paradigm shift that AI-assisted development represents.Fluent in English; French is a plus but not required.WHAT WE OFFERJoin a fast-growing international scale-up (+25% per year), at the heart of an exciting sector that combines technology and human development.Structured onboarding and mentorship—you will be supported as you grow into full ownership of projects.Be part of a diverse and inclusive team, interacting with colleagues, clients, and authorities from many countries worldwide.Enjoy management that prioritizes proximity and active listening.Benefit from flexible working conditions.Join a close-knit team where conviviality and a spirit of sharing prevail.The salary package is between €32K and €36K, with health insurance, access to a company restaurant, and employee savings plans via PEE and PERECO.Exposure to a complex, multi-country operational environment (France, South Africa, China, India, Saudi Arabia).Direct access to senior leadership and real impact on the company’s digital transformation from day one.A front-row seat at the intersection of AI and enterprise software—a skill set that will define the next decade of development.HOW TO APPLYSend your CV and a short note telling us what draws you to this role, one project you’re proud of (academic or personal), and your experience or curiosity around AI-assisted coding tools.
