Responsibilities
Assisting in coding and development of software modules, applications, or features, often under the guidance of senior developersDebugging, testing, and fixing bugs in existing applicationsDocumenting code and workflows, and helping prepare any necessary technical or functional documentsAdopting software development best practices, such as version control (e.g., Git), coding standards, and clean code conventionsAssisting in designing and maintaining relational databases and writing SQL queries, debugging queries, and ensuring data accuracyUsing AI-assisted development tools to support coding, debugging, testing, and documentation while reviewing and validating AI-generated outputs.Supporting the team with data visualizations, building dashboards and visual reportsCollaborating with cross-functional teams, such as product managers, designers, and QA engineers
Qualifications
Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related fieldsBasic proficiency in programming languages such as Java and Javascript, and object-oriented programming conceptsExperience with version control systems (e.g., Git), IDEs (e.g., IntelliJ IDEA, Eclipse), and issue-tracking tools (e.g., JIRA, Trello)Comfort with basic web technologies (e.g., HTML, CSS), and optionally frameworks, depending on the team’s focusFamiliarity with database basics, such as SQL and relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL, Oracle)Familiarity with frameworks/libraries such as Spring, Hibernate, or REST APIs is a strong plusFamiliarity with AI-assisted coding and development tools, with an understanding of how to use them effectively and responsibly in software development workflows.Understanding of testing concepts, debugging, and writing test scriptsStrong communication skills in EnglishStrong problem-solving skills, analytical mindset, and attention to detailExcellent communication and teamwork abilitiesComfortable working with international colleagues in a remote, cross-cultural team settingIf you are looking for new professional challenges that combine innovation with creativity and want to be part of a multicultural team of highly committed staff, please respond with your CV. www.frankfurt-school.de
