Junior Software Engineer – AI & Intelligent ApplicationsLocation: Dublin – Hybrid, two days per week onsite, with Thursday as a core office daySalary: €40,000–€70,000The RoleWe are looking for a curious and adaptable Junior Software Engineer to help build modern applications, AI-powered solutions and business automation tools.This opportunity is open to graduates and developers with approximately 1–2 years’ experience. We welcome candidates from any educational, technical or professional background. Your ability to think through problems, learn quickly and explain how you approached a project is more important than experience with one specific programming language.Key ResponsibilitiesHelp design, develop, test and maintain applications and services.Support the development of AI, LLM and automation solutions.Work with Azure services, including Azure AI Foundry.Gain experience designing RAG-based applications, APIs and system integrations.Build workflow and automation solutions using Power Platform and Power Automate.Use GitHub and modern AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot or Cursor.Contribute throughout the software development lifecycle.Help ensure solutions are secure, maintainable and aligned with responsible AI principles.Troubleshoot technical issues and contribute to root-cause analysis.Participate in code reviews, knowledge-sharing sessions and continuous learning.Skills and ExperienceA relevant degree, coding qualification, bootcamp or practical development experience.Graduate-level experience or approximately 1–3+ years’ commercial experience.Good problem-solving and analytical skills.Knowledge of Python, C#, Java, JavaScript/TypeScript or another programming language.An interest in AI, LLMs, RAG architectures and cloud development.Some exposure to Azure, APIs, databases or system integrations is beneficial.Familiarity with GitHub or other source-control tools.Exposure to Power Platform or Power Automate would be an advantage.An interest in application security and responsible AI development.Strong communication skills and the confidence to discuss your ideas.An adaptable, curious and proactive approach to learning.We are interested in hearing about college projects, personal applications, GitHub repositories, internships or commercial work. Candidates should be prepared to explain what they built, why they built it and how they solved problems during the process.
