Apply & track with Apply EdgeAbout the roleWe're hiring a Junior Software Engineer to join GO-OUT's engineering team and grow into a core contributor. You'll work on real production systems from day one - backend services, APIs, integrations, and internal tools - with senior engineers reviewing your work and pushing you forward.This is a build-and-learn role, not a shadowing role. You'll ship code that real users depend on, and you'll be expected to own what you ship.About GO-OUTGO-OUT is a live ticketing and event technology platform handling real users, real transactions, and high-load event days. The stack spans backend services, payments, real-time scanning and seating, mobile apps, admin tools, and the infrastructure underneath all of it. The environment is fast-moving and the engineering surface area is broad.What you'll ownFeature development on backend services and APIs, with guidance and code reviewBug fixes and production issues, including root-cause investigationInternal tools and automations that make the team fasterIntegration work with third-party servicesWriting and maintaining tests for what you buildDay-to-day collaboration with product, QA, and senior engineersWhat we're looking forSomeone early in their career who already writes real code, learns fast, and asks good questions instead of guessing. You care about understanding why something works, not just getting it to pass. You take feedback well, follow through on what you commit to, and use AI tools to move faster without shipping code you don't understand.Required experienceEngineering fundamentals Solid grasp of JavaScript/TypeScript, data structures, REST APIs, and Git. Comfortable reading code you didn't write.Backend Node.js - through personal projects, internships, bootcamp, degree, or early professional work. Basic database knowledge (MongoDB or SQL).AI tools - required Daily, practical use of AI coding tools (Claude, or similar). You should be able to walk us through how you use them in your workflow, where they help, and where you don't trust them.
