Apply & track with Apply EdgeAbout the RoleWe're on the lookout for curious, driven engineers who love solving problems and building great software. As a Junior Software Engineer, you'll work closely with experienced engineers to build real-world applications, using AI-assisted development to move faster and smarter. You'll focus primarily on backend development, APIs, integrations, and cloud-based applications — all while learning engineering best practices and gaining a deep understanding of the business problems your code solves. We equip our engineers with modern AI development tools and assistants to help you build, test, debug, and learn at an accelerated pace. In turn, we expect you to use these tools thoughtfully — applying strong engineering judgment and always validating what they produce. What You'll DoDevelop and maintain backend services, REST APIs, and third-party integrationsBuild and enhance applications using the MERN stack (MongoDB, Express.js, React, Node.js)Contribute to Flutter-based mobile applicationsWrite Python code for automation, integrations, and AI-driven workflowsWrite clean, maintainable, well-tested code you can be proud ofDebug issues, take part in code reviews, and continuously sharpen your engineering skillsCollaborate closely with the team to understand client needs and deliver reliable, high-quality solutionsTake ownership of your work and communicate proactively and transparentlyWhat We're Looking ForStrictly 1–2 years of work experienceHands-on experience with the MERN stackWorking knowledge of Flutter/React NativeHands-on experience with PythonA solid foundation in Data Structures & Algorithms, OOP, Databases, and REST APIsGenuine curiosity to explore new technologies and a knack for using AI tools effectivelyStrong communication skills, sharp problem-solving instincts, and a true ownership mindsetHow We WorkYou'll use AI tools daily, but you own the output — every line you ship should be code you understand and can explain and defend. You'll talk to clients and understand why we're building something, not just what — business context isn't optional here.We move fast, but we don't cut corners on testing, security, or code quality. You'll debug real production issues, not just toy problems — expect to get comfortable reading stack traces and logs early on.We document decisions and share knowledge openly — no tribal knowledge locked in one person's head.Feedback goes both ways: we'll tell you what's working and what's not, and we want to hear your ideas too. You'll rotate across different parts of the stack (frontend, backend, mobile, automation) so you build a well-rounded skill set instead of getting siloed early.Ownership means proactively flagging blockers and risks — we'd rather hear "I'm stuck" on day one than find out on demo day.
