The Junior Software Engineer will assist in designing, developing, testing, and maintaining software applications and backend services that support Jurisware’s technology and legal solutions. Responsibilities include implementing features under guidance from senior engineers, writing clean and maintainable code, participating in code reviews, and troubleshooting issues in existing systems. The role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams, contributing to integrations with web and mobile platforms, and supporting automation and enterprise system initiatives. The engineer will also be expected to learn and apply best practices in software development, documentation, and quality assurance.QualificationsStrong foundation in Computer Science, including data structures, algorithms, and software engineering principles.1+ year of professional or relevant hands-on experience in software development.Proficiency in the MERN Stack (MongoDB, Express.js, React.js, and Node.js) with a strong understanding of full-stack web application development.Proficiency in Programming and Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) concepts with at least one modern programming language (e.g., Java, C#, Python, or similar).Understanding of Back-End Web Development and Software Development workflows, including APIs, databases, and version control.Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).Familiarity with web technologies, relational or NoSQL databases, and basic software testing practices.Ability to work collaboratively in an on-site team environment, with clear communication and problem-solving skills.Interest in building secure, reliable systems for business and legal applications; exposure to enterprise or SaaS products is an advantage.Eagerness to learn new tools, frameworks, and best practices in a fast-paced, technology-focused environment.
