The platform enables people to use HSA and FSA funds toward eligible health and wellness products, making it easier to invest pre-tax healthcare dollars in products designed to improve health, fitness, sleep, recovery, and overall wellbeing. Operating at the intersection of healthcare, fintech, and e-commerce, the company partners with leading consumer health and wellness brands and is building the infrastructure connecting proactive health products with more than $150B in pre-tax healthcare spending.Role Overview Our client is seeking a Junior Software Engineer with 0 to 2 years of experience to join their Shopping team and help build the consumer-facing experiences powering their affiliate marketplace and marketing site. This is a frontend-focused engineering role where you will work closely with the marketing team to rapidly build and iterate on web experiences, improve site performance and conversion, and evolve the company's CMS infrastructure. You will initially spend the majority of your time on frontend development while progressively growing into broader full-stack engineering ownership.Key Responsibilities • Build and ship responsive, high-quality pages and user-facing experiences using Next.js and Tailwind CSS. • Develop responsive experiences that work seamlessly across mobile and desktop, with a strong focus on the company's predominantly mobile user base.• Evolve and maintain the Sanity CMS schema, enabling marketing teams to move faster with less engineering involvement. • Partner closely with marketing on website experiments, A/B tests, and conversion funnel improvements. • Improve Core Web Vitals, browser performance, and overall site performance. • Ship and iterate quickly on consumer-facing features and web experiences. • Take increasing ownership of larger areas of the site as you develop within the role. • Grow from frontend-focused development into broader full-stack engineering responsibilities over time.Qualifications • 0 to 2 years of frontend, web, or software engineering experience. • Experience building and shipping UI using React or another modern component-based framework. • Hands-on experience building and shipping pages or features within a user-facing web application.• Strong fundamentals in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, with working knowledge of JavaScript/TypeScript. • Ability to build responsive layouts that work effectively across devices and screen sizes. • High agency and curiosity, with the ability to take ownership of problems and work through them without extensive hand-holding.• Strong technical potential demonstrated through education, meaningful internships, professional experience, side projects, or other hands-on engineering work. • Interest in growing from frontend-focused development into broader full-stack engineering over time. • Must be based in the United States and authorized to work without visa sponsorship. • Ability to travel approximately four times per year for company and team offsites.
