The company builds two core products: Candoor, which runs short, anonymous, AI-led voice interviews to surface issues people would not share in traditional surveys, and Storm, which simulates real roles to create live capability maps of what team members can actually do. These tools help organizations understand readiness for AI, identify internal mobility opportunities, and restructure by aligning people with meaningful work. Yolex Labs collaborates with researchers from Boston University, Indiana University, and IIT Kanpur, and is currently in beta with a select group of customers, including Fortune 500 companies.Role Description As a Junior Software Engineer at Yolex Labs, you will contribute to the design, development, and maintenance of software components that power products like Candoor and Storm. You will write clean, testable code, participate in code reviews, and collaborate with senior engineers to implement backend services, APIs, and integrations. Daily work includes debugging issues, improving performance, and supporting deployment and monitoring of features in production environments. You will work closely with product and research teams to translate requirements into technical solutions and iterate based on feedback. This is a full-time, on-site role based in the Greater Bengaluru Area.QualificationsStrong foundation in Computer Science concepts, including data structures, algorithms, and system design basics.Proficiency in Programming and Object-Oriented Programming (OOP), with experience in at least one modern language (e.g., Python, Java, C++, or similar).Hands-on exposure to Software Development practices such as version control (Git), testing, debugging, and continuous integration.Experience or coursework in Back-End Web Development, including APIs, databases, and server-side frameworks.Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.Ability to learn quickly, work collaboratively in cross-functional teams, and communicate clearly in spoken and written English.Familiarity with cloud platforms, basic security practices, or AI/ML concepts is a plus.
