Junior Software Engineer

Team members collaborate in a fast-paced setting that values curiosity, quality, and impact on the broader business community.Role Description As a Junior Software Engineer at Startup Times, you will contribute to the design, development, and maintenance of web applications that power our media platform. You will write clean, modular code, participate in code reviews, fix bugs, and help implement new features in collaboration with senior engineers and product stakeholders. Day-to-day activities include translating requirements into technical tasks, testing and debugging back-end services, and improving performance and reliability of existing systems. This is a full-time, hybrid role based in Noida, with a mix of in-office collaboration and some work-from-home flexibility.QualificationsStrong foundation in Computer Science principles, including data structures, algorithms, and software engineering basics.Proficiency in Programming and Object-Oriented Programming (OOP), with experience in at least one modern programming language (e.g., Java, Python, JavaScript, C#).Hands-on exposure to Software Development practices such as version control, testing, debugging, and documentation.Basic experience or coursework in Back-End Web Development, including APIs, databases, and server-side frameworks.Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related technical field (or equivalent practical experience).Ability to learn quickly, work in a collaborative team environment, and communicate clearly in English.Familiarity with web technologies, relational or NoSQL databases, and Linux environments is an advantage.Interest in startups, digital media, or online platforms is highly beneficial.
