Department: Engineering / Web DevelopmentAbout the RoleWe are seeking a Junior Web Developer to assist with designing, developing, maintaining, and improving websites and web applications.This entry-level opportunity is suitable for candidates who have developed practical web development skills through internships, academic projects, personal projects, freelance work, or early professional experience.The ideal candidate has a foundational understanding of web technologies, enjoys solving technical problems, and is eager to learn modern development practices while collaborating with a team.What You'll DoDevelop, maintain, and update websites and web applications.Write clean, readable, and maintainable code using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and other relevant technologies.Assist with building responsive, user-friendly interfaces for desktop and mobile devices.Collaborate with designers, developers, and other stakeholders to implement website requirements.Troubleshoot website issues, identify bugs, and implement fixes.Test website functionality, browser compatibility, responsiveness, and usability.Integrate APIs and work with backend services when required.Assist with website performance improvements and basic technical optimization.Maintain website content, components, and documentation.Use version-control tools to manage code changes and collaborate with other developers.Participate in code reviews and apply feedback to improve code quality.Learn new frameworks, tools, and technologies as project requirements evolve.Required Qualifications0–2 years of relevant web development experience, including internships, academic projects, personal projects, freelance work, or equivalent practical experience.Basic knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.Understanding of responsive web design and mobile-friendly layouts.Familiarity with website structure, browser behavior, and fundamental web development concepts.Basic troubleshooting and debugging skills.Familiarity with Git or another version-control system is beneficial.Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.Ability to communicate technical information clearly.Willingness to learn new tools, technologies, and development practices.Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively in a fully remote environment.Preferred QualificationsExposure to React, Vue.js, Angular, or another JavaScript framework.Familiarity with WordPress or another content management system.Basic knowledge of REST APIs, JSON, and frontend/backend integration.Exposure to PHP, Python, Node.js, or another backend technology.Familiarity with SQL or relational databases.Experience using GitHub or similar code repositories.Understanding of website accessibility, cross-browser compatibility, and performance optimization.Exposure to Figma or other design tools for translating mockups into web interfaces.Familiarity with Agile development practices.A portfolio, GitHub repository, or personal website demonstrating practical projects.CompensationBase Salary: $60,000–$80,000 per yearThe proposed salary range is a market-based recommendation for an entry-level position.
