Kart Racing Technical Manager

Yas Heat Racing – Karting Division is seeking an experienced and highly capable Kart Racing Technical Manager to lead and oversee the full technical operations of its high-performance karting program.The role will be responsible for the technical performance, reliability, and operational execution of all karting assets across multiple categories and chassis platforms. The successful candidate will serve as the technical authority within the team, ensuring all aspects of the karting program are delivered to the highest professional and race-winning standards.About the RoleAs the Kart Racing Technical Manager, you will lead all technical functions across maintenance, testing, training, and race operations. You will work closely with team management, coaches, mechanics, drivers, and key stakeholders to optimize performance, maintain technical excellence, and drive continuous improvement across the entire karting operation.Key ResponsibilitiesLead and manage all technical operations across workshop, testing, training, and race environmentsEstablish and enforce technical preparation standards for all kart categoriesEnsure maximum reliability, performance, and consistency across the kart fleetOversee trackside engineering execution during testing and race weekendsAct as the technical authority for IAME and ROTAX engine platforms, including performance optimization and rebuild strategiesManage engine allocation, compliance, lifecycle tracking, and reliability programsDevelop structured performance enhancement processes for engines, chassis, and componentsSupervise and mentor senior and junior mechanics, ensuring technical discipline and operational excellenceManage workshop operations, inventory control, tooling, spares strategy, and technical readinessCollaborate with drivers and coaching staff to transform feedback into measurable performance improvementsLead technical decision-making on setup changes, troubleshooting, and race-day supportEnsure compliance with FIA Karting technical regulations and scrutineering requirementsMaintain technical documentation, setup records, and performance data logsDrive innovation, process improvement, and long-term technical development strategiesRequirementExtensive experience in competitive kart racing at national and/or international levelProven leadership experience within a motorsport technical environmentAdvanced expertise in IAME and ROTAX engine platforms and lifecycle managementDeep understanding of chassis setup, performance optimization, and race engineeringStrong familiarity with UAE karting circuits and racing conditionsExcellent technical and managerial communication skillsStrong organizational and problem-solving capabilitiesUAE driving license (Category 3 / Category 5) is an advantageDesired AttributesStrong leadership presence with the ability to manage both people and performance systemsHigh-level technical decision-making under pressureAnalytical, structured, and process-driven mindsetAbility to balance hands-on engineering expertise with strategic oversightPassion for motorsport and commitment to delivering excellence in a high-performance racing environmentApply now and become part of the future of Yas Heat Racing.
